Rusi Returns

A few years ago I made a digital collage based on a character from
a Nang shadow puppet theater. The character is Rusi, an old man you
might meet in the woods. For better or worse he knows everything
about you. The Nang theme is essentially morality. I return to the Rusi
theme from time to time in my art. I created this Flash(click here for the show)
(sorry about the long load) for my final project in my media
art course at Wesleyan mentioned in the last post.
I was trying to achieve the same flicker book look of an actual performance.

I really enjoyed the textures and the colours and the elusive images. I get the feeling this took a lot of work.

so I finally noticed you gossiped about me to those two texan women back in june. err did you ever tell your ma about me ;)

Hi Corrine- yes about 80 hours or so went into a 24 second piece, but who keeps track. Plus I hope I didn't gossip and if I did I hope it was good gossip. I'm going to backtrack and see. Frankly, the Midlife Gals are hilarious and you can catch them on their radio blog, youtube, as well as their webblog. After talking about you to my alzheimer mom, you have become a distant cousin, whom she always asks about. I said you probably wouldn't make it for xmas this year.

This wonderful.. it has everything... my son did a short flash monster exploding (of course) but the time involved was enormous... and detailed...

I am enjoying your winter scenes... we received a winter storm today.. 50 accidents in the nearby city in a matter of a few hours.. 12 car pile up and a 9 car pile-up.. buses sliding sideways down the street..snowplows and sand trucks sliding off the roads.. It was insane.. your images are much preferred...

It was good gossip bill lol! and how cool is that I am now a distant cousin. ah! I am making a joke, but it must be hard. Give her a little kiss on the cheek from me :)

I have watched a few of their videos, and I LOVE their attitude.
