sharing art online. At first I was very concerned how
other bloggers would find the blog and what their perception
would be. Jafrabrits latest post made me realize that I am
putting myself out there and art is just in the genes. It's
after 6 and I haven't had a Frida, Vincent, Hockney
moment all day. I did get an email from my nephew
concerning sumi-e and want to share. Who knows
what tonight will bring?

hair brush LOL! that made me chuckle.
ah thanks for the shout out :) I thought it interesting how you noted that one media informs the other. I remember being quite happily shocked to realize how taking a 3d class greatly improved my painting and understanding of form when depicting it in 2d. I still feel like an art baby, and always learning, but perhaps that is a good thing, yes?
all the best with your blogging. I have added you to my blogroll :) Hope that's okay.
Hi Bill, I really like your blog! You are a versatile artist. Love your digital winter series, they have such a timeless feel to them. I also really admire your sumi-e work; the brush-strokes are magnificent, each one carries so much energy. I'll be back to visit regularly, and I'll also add your name to my blogroll :)
I'll let my hair grow and be a participant if you're game.
Thanks for the comments. I've added jafabrit and mineke to the blogroll. Can't wait for the hair to grow Teri.
Wow this is the first for me, I never seen an human paint brush before! Isn't art wonderful?
I can agree with you on the fact of not sure if I should shared my art online or not, but after seeing others doing the same then I realize I would never get much of anything in way of comments about my work if I just allow my art stay hidden from the world.
This is my first time here and I am looking forward at seeing more of your art work. Thanks for shairing.
Cool image. Love the inky swirls ... Hairbrush ... leads to all sorts of other less pleasant images, e.g., toothbrush! (I have a toothache so teeth on/in the brain.) I had a painting teacher who told me I'd never grow unless I showed my paintings; I don't know if that's entirely true, but posting has been a very positive experience--and mush easier and cheaper and less time consuming than framing and exhibiting paintings.
